Students have very specific educational and developmental needs, and Halcyon has spent 20 years tailoring age and gender-appropriate learning experiences to meet those needs. Whether it is in the classroom, on the field, or in the community, every minute of every Halcyon High school day helps students to grow to become principled young men and women.
The curricular and extracurricular programmes at Halcyon stress the development of the whole person. The school’s concern extends beyond the focus on academic and intellectual achievement and encourages responsible citizenship in the world outside the classroom. Through service to communities, students are encouraged to develop a sense of care for each other, and to accept responsibility for serving their local and national communities.
Our students have built up meaningful relationships with a variety of communities that they have served. For example, every year the school organizes to take students out to help in cleaning community hospitals, praying for the sick and offer donations to the needy.
